As the first class to graduate from BEASD high school, a reunion of the Class of 1957 is a small piece of our history coming to life. At a recent reunion, the Class of 1957 alumni were filmed while sharing their school-days memories in surprising detail. Eagle Ambassadors was there to catch it all on video.

John Myers, Gloria Leathers Spangenburg, Marybeth Hall, George and Elizabeth Walker, Sue Garrett, and Bud McCartney, are just a few of the alumni featured in the video. Filmed in beautiful Moshannon, click "play" below to watch the complete 35-minute video.

Many of the alumni talk about coming to the newly created BEASD high school from other schools. They talk a lot about what that transition was like for them. They also offer advice for today’s students.

Now a father of seven sons, Bud McCartney ’57 says of his time in high school, “It’s a special time. We didn’t realize how quick it would happen, and before you know if you’re picking your major in college.”

A special “Thank you” to Dylan Bathurst and John Urbanik for their work in filming and producing this very special video.
